## Definitions

- AI: artificial intelligence, an umbrella term including specialised systems
  and models with broad uses. It does not itself imply human-level capability.
- AGI: artificial general intelligence, concerning broad cognitive capability.
  Definitions and thresholds differ. Breadth and performance are distinct.
- ASI: artificial superintelligence. In Bostrom's sense, capability far beyond
  humans across virtually all domains of interest. A name change provides no
  evidence that such a capability has been achieved.

The three-part ladder is a simplification. See the research references in
the article on the established name, including Bostrom and Levels of AGI (arXiv:2311.02462).
SI also denotes the International System of Units. The .si domain ending is
Slovenia's country-code top-level domain. "Artificiell superintelligens" is Swedish
for artificial superintelligence; the site address spells the term.

## Study: Superintelligence in Domain Names

The domain name samples were chosen before their registration dates were examined.
The dataset contains 65 cognition-related .si names, 61 everyday nouns for
comparison, and two .com lists of 13 and 39 names.

Seventeen of the 65 cognition-related names have creation dates from 19 to
26 June 2024, compared with one of 61 comparison names: 26.2% versus 1.6%.
The ratio of these sample proportions is 15.95, not a market-wide estimate.

Exploratory windows give 15 versus 1 for seven days from 19 June, 17 versus 1
for fourteen days, and 18 versus 3 for thirty days. Excluding the launch day
gives 16 versus 1. These describe sensitivity, not independent replications.
Only two .si names contain "superintelligen", and one is in the main interval.

Registry RDAP queries on 23 September 2026 covered 178 names and returned
162 registration records and 16 record-not-found responses. A record-not-found
response does not guarantee availability. The query log includes retrieval
times, sources, response codes, validation outcomes and hashes.

Five of the 39 September candidates have creation dates on 22–23 September
2026; one additional date is in the separate 13-name sample. The study does
not establish independent buyers, motives, causation, industry-wide adoption
or whether the 2026 response was stronger or weaker than the 2024 activity.
No claim of statistical significance is made; independence is not established.
